Scot Vorwold enters his fourth season as Head Women’s Soccer Coach for the Hornets.   He took over in the fall of 2014 and inherited a program that was coming off a 1-11-1 season and a 6-57-3 mark the previous four seasons.  In just three seasons he has become the second winningest coach in program history while improving total victories and conference victories each season.  In each of the previous two seasons his HSSU Hornets have received the NAIA Scholar Team award with a team GPA over 3.0. 

Vorwold started his collegiate playing career in 2004 playing for Meramec Community College (St. Louis MO.) where they were ranked fifth in the nation at the junior college level. Vorwold transferred to Harris Stowe in the fall of 2005.  Vorwold continued his playing career at Harris-Stowe as a student-athlete on the men's soccer team and as team captain for his final two seasons (2005-2007). Vorwold was an assistant for the HSSU men's soccer team from (2009-2015). In 2010 Vorwold led his U17 girls’ team to a Futsal National title.

Vorwold has served as the Athletic Director at Tower Grove Christian Academy since 2011. In addition, he has coached Tower Grove's varsity girls' soccer team to three consecutive state championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014, also earning conference coach of the year in 2009 & 2012.

Vorwold is a graduate of Harris-Stowe where he earned his degree in Business Administration.
