Rachel Williams has years of experience as a coach & player who is passionate about the game of volleyball and the path it creates for young athletes. She grew up in Southern California playing various sports including softball, soccer, basketball and eventually careering in volleyball. The impact that every athletic experience has made along with volleyball, has had a significant influence in her life and has inspired her commitment to youth athletes.  

Over the past 4 years Rachel has worked as an Assistant Coach at Portland State, Louisiana Tech and Northern Arizona University. Prior to her D1 collegiate coaching experience, she was the Lead Coach and Club Director at Yavapai Juniors Volleyball Club in Prescott, AZ. In her tenure there, YJVC had numerous teams in the top 10 of Arizona Region in each age group, along with winning Region and earning bids to GJNC’s and AAU’s.  

While at YJVC, Rachel helped to grow the club from 6 teams to 10 teams. Concurrently over those 5 years, Rachel coached numerous teams herself including 12-1s, 14-1s, 17-1s and 18-1s and has really learned to understand club volleyball at every stage of development.

Rachel was a four-year starting defensive player at the University of Arizona (1999-2002) and a Pac-10 Champion. Throughout Rachel’s career at Arizona, the Wildcats went from a top 40 team to a top 4 team.
