ST. LOUIS, MO- The American Midwest Conference named their All-Confernce teams last night and among those, Harris-Stowe's own Miaya Peacock (SR/Champaign, Illinois ) was named to the Second Team. This is the second time in her career she has been named for this award.
Peacock ended her senior season with a statement, tallying 265 kills in 18 matches, 32 service aces, 213 digs and 17.0 total blocks to lead the team with 4.94 points/game. Peacock finished the season ranked 8th in the country in kills/game (4.27) and 30th in service aces/game (0.52).
In her two years at HSSU, Peacock recorded 556 kills, 56 service aces, 428 digs, in 145 total sets.
In addition to Peacock, Tiffany Hopkins (SO/Chicago, Illinois) was named to the American Midwest Confernce Character of Champions team. Hopkins finished the season playing in all 64 sets, tallied 80 kills, 10 sevice aces, and 33.0 total blocks.
