ST. LOUIS, MO- After struggling through conference play, the Hornets found themselves on the winning side of today's game against Manhattan Christian College. Twelve goals from the Hornets gave them an easy 12-0 win and their third win of the season.

Lizette Popoca (FR/Waukegan, Illinois ) got things rolling for the Hornets in first half when she got a pass from Rachelle Gray (FR/Belleville, Illinois ) and sent it past MCC goalkeeper, Christoni Carpenter, for a 1-0 lead. Johanna Wallstab (FR/Munich, Germany ) (2), Rachelle Gray, Karla Garcia (FR/Waukegan, Illinois), Kaitlyn Johnson, and two more from Popoca rounded out the eight HSSU goals in the first half.

Harris-Stowe would get four more goals in the second half from Karla Garcia, Justice Corn (FR/St. Louis, Missouri ), Gisela Hernandez (JR/St. Louis, Missouri), and Yuliana Noyola Miranda (FR/Cancun, Quintana Mexico ) to finish the game with a 12-0 win.

The Hornets finished the game with 53 shots while holding Manhattan Christian to none the entire game. 

HSSU will be back in action this Saturday when they travel to Williams Baptist College for the American Midwest Conference Game of the Week. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
