ST. LOUIS, MO- After winning back-to-back conference games, the Hornets took a break from AMC play to face cross-town rivals, Fontbonne University. The Griffin's offense was proved to be too much for HSSU as they went on to win 2-0.

Just two minutes into the start of the game, Nick Wolf found Blake Smugala cutting through the middle of the box and sent the ball past HSSU goalkeeper John Jancewicz (FR/London, England).

It was Nick Wolf again in the 12' as he broke away from Hornets defenders and connected with the back of the net for the Griffin's second goal of the game.

The Hornets offensecould not get started today, Justin Donovan (FR) being the closest one to the goal as he sent a ball to FBU's goalkeeper, Jordan Alberici, and hit the post dead on and ricocched into the stands.

Sanchayn Lawrence (SO/Kingston, Jamaica ) lead the way with 3 goals while Donovan and Geuel Serbonij (FR/Willemstad, Curacao ) both tallied 2. Goalkeeper John Jancewicz recorded eight saves in 68 minutes while Bryndon Lightfoot saved one.

The Hornets will be back in action on Wednesday when they face the Lynx of Lindenwood University-Belleville. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
