ST. LOUIS, MO- After a rough start to the year in conference play, the Hornets caught a break as they rolled past St. Louis College of Pharmacy tonight 5-0.

The first 45 minutes were a sturggle for the Hornets as they fired off 12 shots and came up blank. On the flip side, HSSU's defense held STLCOP's offense to jsut 4 shots the entire game and only 1 in the first half.

Victoria Sample (FR/St. Louis, Missouri ) got the ball rolling in the 57' and the 64' when she had back-to-back unassisted goals to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead. Just 3 minutes later, Justice Corn (FR/St. Louis, Missouri ) found the back of the net and 2 miutes after Corn's goal, Lyla Rudloff (FR/O'Fallon, Missouri) recorded a goal with assists from Corn and Kaitlyn Johnson (FR/Maryland Heights, Missouri ). Yuliana Noyloa Miranda rounded out the rest of the scoring in the 71'.

Camila Chaves (FR/Bogota, Columbia) got the start in goal tonight and tallied 2 saves.

The Hornets will take a break from conference play to facec off against Fontbone University on Thursday. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
