ST. LOUIS, MO- While freshman John Jancewicz (FR/London, England) has had a breakout season in goal, the offense continues to struggle to connect for the Hornets as they drop their 4th straight game and their first conference game to Lyon 2-0.

After playing dead even with the Scots for the first half, Lyon was able to get a shot off in the 44' when Omar Fabila took a corner kick and Trace Gary picked it up and slotted it in the bottom left corner of the net for a 1-0 lead.

The second half was much like the end of the 1st half; Lyon managed to get 8 more shots off with one of those being a goal by Jose Poblete from 25 yards out in the 57'.

Gabriel Green (FR/O'Fallon, Missouri) lead the Hornets with 2 shots during the match. Sanchayn Lawrence (SO/Kingston, Jamaica ), Yasser Kauaria (JR/St. Louis, Missouri ), Felipe Campos (FR/Niteroi, Brazil), and Gabriel Shikida (FR/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) all recorded 1 a piece. John Jancewicz got the start for HSSU today and saved 9 shots on 11 attempts.

The Hornets will continue conference play this Saturday when they host Lindenwood University-Belleville. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
