Oklahoma City, OK- The Hornets faced a great challenge today against Mid-America Christian University. After dropping their first road game to Oklahoma City University last night, HSSU turned right around to take on the Evengels this afternoon. While the Hornets fought until the very end, the hot offense of MACU was hard to stop as they took today's game 5-0.

After an own goal just 3 minutes into the game put HSSU down 1-0, the Hornets made it difficult for MACU to get any offense started in the 1st half drawing 3 offside calls and 9 fouls against the Evangels. Yasser Kauaria (JR/St. Louis, Missouri ) and Adin Mulasalihovic (SO/Janja, Bosnia) both got shots off in the first half for the Hornets while the defense forced Mid-America Christian's shots to be blocked or deflected wide of the goal.

In the 2nd half, MACU kicked it up a notch getting 20 shots off and scoring 5 unanswered goals against Harris-Stowe's defense.Kacey Owensby, Benji Hutchinson, Andres Ochoa, and Sergio Ribeiro all connected with the back of the net in the 2nd half to take the game 5-0.

Kauaria, Mulasalihovic, and Silas Bell (FR/St. Louis, Missouri) lead the Hornets with 1 shot a piece while freshman John Jancewicz (FR/London, England) made his debut in goal during the 2nd half and recorded 2 saves.

Harris-Stowe will be back in action next Wednesday when they host Oakland City University before kicking off conference play and a 5 game home-stand.
