Harris Stowe State University head Women's Soccer Coach announces the signing of local senior Katie Johnson of Pattionville High school (Maryland Heights MO.) Katie as described by her teammates and coaching staff as tough tenacious, possessing grit, physical, bruising, and a fierce competitor.  Coach Vorwold couldn't agree more, "Katie is all that and more"' said Vorwold.  "Katie is a very versatile player being able to play anywhere down the middle of the field." Going into the off season I knew we had to add players who are able to put hard physical challenges in especially on set pieces and Katie gives us just that." Johnson finished her high school career with 10 goals (4 game winners), 14 assists for 34 points and 73 take away while playing in 64 games for the Pirates. Katie earned honorable mention all-conference as well as helped her team to three district championships and two quarterfinal appearances.
