Harris-Stowe Baseball clinched a spot in the American Midwest Conference playoffs this past weekend despite having two tough losses.  The Hornets fell to Freed-Hardeman 9-2 and lost in a walk off 9-8 loss on Friday night.  Saturday's game was rained out after a four hour rain delay.  The Hornets are now 28-18 and 13-11 in the AMC.

The Hornets will begin the AMC Playoffs on Wednesday, May 3rd.  The Tournament will be held in Henderson, Tennessee on the campus of Freed-Hardeman.  Harris-Stowe has won five of the nine conference series with one weekend series left.  This will be only the third playoff appearance for the Hornets in the past nine seasons.

Harris-Stowe will finish their regular season this weekend at home at Stars Park.  The Hornets can clinch their first winning AMC season since 2010 (13-11) and set a school record 14 conference victories.  The Hornets will have their first winning season this year since 2010 (29-24) and have a chance to have the highest winning percentage for over 40 games played (2005, 34-27 .557).
