This weekend the Harris-Stowe Softball team went 0-5 on an American Midwest Conference weekend.  The losses drop the Hornets to 1-17 on the season and 0-14 in AMC play.  The Hornets will look to rebound against             Eureka College on Tuesday.


Game 1: Loss 10-1 at Freed-Hardeman

Nakeyah Bradford started for the Hornets and went 4 innings allowing 10 runs, 8 which were earned runs.  Alix Adams had two hits and Courtney Norris had a single.


Game 2: Loss 11-1 at Freed-Hardeman

Courtney Norris pitched for the Hornets and didn't surrender a walk.  The Lions bats were able to use the whole field and the Hornets fell 11-1.  Alix Adams collected both Hornets hits.


Game 3: Loss 8-0 at (19) Williams Baptist

Bradford started for the Hornets and limited the #19 team in the nation to only 7 hits.  Adams again had two hits. Bradford and Kyra Greer also each had a hit.


Game 4: Loss 6-1 at (19) Williams Baptist

Ariel Lipe started on the mound for the Hornets while allowing six runs.  Adams had two hits.  Lipe had a single and Nakeyah Bradford had an RBI double.


Game 5: Loss 11-0 at Lyon College

Courtney Norris was the starting pitcher for the Hornets and took the loss.  The Hornets were held without a hit despite hitting several balls at the Scots defenders.
