Men's Basketball - Thu, Mar. 16, 2017

Tonight the Harris-Stowe Men's Basketball team fell to the Dalton State Roadrunners 84-82 in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament.  Harris-Stowe led at halftime 46-40.  The Roadrunners came back with 44 second half points to win the game. The Hornets were led tonight by Jalen Fletcher who had 16 points and 6 rebounds.  Cameron Biedscheid had 14 point on 5 for 9 shooting.  Craig Davila Jr. finished with 15 points and 3 assists.    

This was the first time in school history that the program had made the national tournament in men's basketball and the first conference championship for the Hornets since 1983.  The Hornets finish the season as the 2017 American Midwest Conference Champion and a 19-13 record.  This was the first winning season for the Hornets since 2011-2012 season.
