Men's Basketball - Sat, Feb. 25, 2017

Today the Harris-Stowe Men's Basketball team will try to secure a home playoff game with a victory at Lyon College.  The Hornets enter the game 15-12 and 13-8 in the American Midwest Conference and winners of 11 of the past 13.  Harris-Stowe is in a four way tie for third place in the AMC standings with today being the final regular season game.  Central Baptist College, William Woods, Freed-Hardeman and the Hornets are all fighting for the three seed. AMC playoffs begin next week with the top 4 seeds hosting the opening round of the playoffs. 

 

Key Hornets:

Jalen Fletcher / Senior / Forward

Fletcher leads the Hornets with 14.9 points per game.  His 5.9 rebounds per game also leads the team.

 

Craig Davila Jr. / Senior / Guard

Davila has been a major spark to the team's hot streak.  Since his first game on December 14, the Hornets have gone 13-4.

 

Tyrone Alston / Freshman / Guard

The freshman has come up big for the Hornets this season.  He is averaging 10 points per game and is shooting a team high 38% from the three point line.  His 42 steals also leads the Hornets.
