Women's Basketball - Mon, Feb. 6, 2017

The Harris-Stowe Women's Basketball team fell 60-59 on Saturday to the Lindenwood University Belleville Lynx.  The loss drops the Hornets to 14-8 and 10-6 in the American Midwest Conference.  The Hornets now sit in sixth place in the AMC Standings. 

The game was a back and forth battle that seen 6 different lead changes as well as being tied 8 other times.  The game's biggest lead was by the Lynx with 6 points.   The game went down to the final seconds as the Hornets took a 1 point lead with 34 seconds left when Angela Randall hit a shot with an assist by  Brionna Taylor.  The Lynx took back the lead with just five seconds left as they hit both free throws. 


Game Notes:

  • Next game is tonight at home in the Emerson Performance Center against Lyon College.  Tipoff is set for 5:30
  • Brionna Taylor had 21 points and 12 rebounds
  • Hornets rank #1 in the nation in 3-Pt field goal percentage defense (0.241)
