The American Midwest Conference has announced the 2016 Women's Soccer All-Conference team and Harris-Stowe was honored with one player on the team and five honorable mentions.  The Hornets had an 8-10-1 record this season.  The eight victories are the most by a Hornets team since the 2000 season when the team went 10-8.   Head Coach Scot Vorwold is very proud of his young athletes.  "I am very pleased with the All-Conference selections this year. It's great to see four seniors get recognition for their hard work and accomplishments in their final season. I was also glad to see two of our many great freshmen get awarded; they have a bright future ahead of them."

Headlining the group is senior Megan Wilson who received AMC All-Conference Forward.  Wilson led the Hornets with 14 goals and two assists.  She scored 26 goals in her two year career at Harris-Stowe.  The other three seniors to be recognized are Tais Barbosa had four goals and three assists on the season. Colbee Miller who had three goals (two game winners) and two assists on the season and Dominique Tedesco had 2 goals and three assists on the season.  Two Hornet freshman were also recognized with Samantha Cervantes had tow goals and a team leading four assists on the season and Willow Liukaina had one assist on the year and was a part of a solid back line who helped secure seven shutouts on the season.
