Tonight the Harris-Stowe Hornets Volleyball team will take on Principia College at home in the Emerson Performance Center.  The Hornets are coming off a 3 set loss to William Woods University and are 5-17 on the season.  Regardless on how the final two games finish, the Hornets have guaranteed themselves their highest winning percentage since 2008 under second year Head Coach T'Shon Young.  Principia enters the game 17-10 on the season.

 

Key Hornets:

Miaya Peacock / Junior / Outside Hitter

Peacock has been the steady defensive ace for the team all season as she leads the team with team with 252 kills. Her 3.41 kills per set is fourth in the American Midwest Conference.

Akilah Thomas / Freshman / Outside Hitter

Thomas has been the Hornets best freshman of 2016.  She has 52 kills and 25 blocks on the season.  She has also contributed 46 digs.

Kennedy Netters / Junior / Setter

Netters has become one of the better setters in the AMC in 2016.  She had a season high 60 assists earlier in the season and is coming off a 32 assist performance.  She has 428 on the season.

 

Game Notes:

  • Match will be in the Emerson Performance Center.  7pm start
  • Hornets are 2-4 on their current home stand
  • Hornets are 2-2 vs non NAIA teams this fall
