The Harris-Stowe Volleyball team beat the Crowley Ridge Pioneers tonight in 4 sets.  The victory moves the Hornets to 4-15 on the season and 3-3 at home in the Emerson Performance Center.

In set number one the Hornets fell 25-19 despite Kennedy Netters 5 assists in the set.  In set number two the Hornets won 25-20 behind Miaya Peacock 5 kills and 5 of 8 Jhameka Lambert-Gully digs on the night.  The Hornets dominated set number three and walked away with a 25-14 victory Netters had 7 more assists, and finished the game with 32.  In set number 4 the game went extra points with a 30-28 win.  Freshman Tiffany Hopkins took over the match with 7 kills, including the last one to end the game and give the Hornets win number 4 on the season.


Game Notes:

  • Next game is Tuesday at home in the Emerson Performance Center with a 7pm match with Saint Louis College of Pharmacy.
  • Hornets beat STLCOP earlier in the season in 5 sets
  • Hornets had 55 kills to only 34 for the Pioneers
