Today the Harris-Stowe Volleyball team lost to the Benedictine College Ravens in 4 sets.  The loss puts the Hornets at 3-15 on the season and 2-4 at home in the Emerson Performance Center.  The victory moves the Ravens to 7-15 on the season.  The Hornets will now take on Crowley Ridge College on Monday in the Emerson Performance Center at 7pm.

In the first set the Hornets overcame being down 20-17 to win the set 25-21.  Shamekia McDowell had 3 kills and 3 solo blocks with an assisted block.  In set number two the Ravens came out strong and took the Hornets down 25-11 despite Tia Green's effort with 6 digs.  In set number three the game was tied 6-6 when the Ravens got on a roll and took the set 25-11.  In set number four the Hornets took an early 5-0 lead before seeing the Ravens come back to tie it up. In was 11-10 Ravens when they scored 7 straight and the Hornets could not catch up and lost 25-17.

  • Next match is Monday at home in the Emerson Performance Center vs Crowley Ridge College.  7pm start.
  • HSSU has the remaining 5 games of the season at home
