The Harris-Stowe Hornets fell tonight to the number 14 team in the nation Missouri Baptist in 3 sets.  The loss puts the Hornets at 3-14 and 1-8 in the American Midwest Conference.  The Spartans improve to 22-6 and 9-0 in the AMC.

The Spartans came out hot in set number one and took a 14-3 lead.  The Hornets held in there  but fell 25-11.  In set number two the teams played close until the score was 12-8 and the Spartans went on a 7-3 run and eventually took the set 25-15.  In set number three the Spartans had trouble holding off the Hornets.  The Spartans lead most of the set but were never ahead by more than four points.  The Spartans up 21-17, the teams exchanged points until the score finished at 25-22.


Game Notes:

  • Next game is Saturday at 1pm against Benedictine University at the Emerson Performance Center. 
  • Hornets will play their final 7 games at home in the EPC
  • Hornets are 2-3 at home this fall
