The Harris-Stowe Hornets Volleyball team will take on the number 14 team in the nation tonight at the Emerson Performance Center as they take on the Missouri Baptist University Spartans.  Game Time is set for 7pm.  The Hornets are 3-13 on the season and 1-7 in the American Midwest Conference.  The Spartans are 21-6 and 8-0 in AMC play. 

 

Key Hornets:

Shamekia McDowell / Junior / Middle Hitter

McDowell leads the team with 39 blocks and has contributed 77 kills and 17 serving aces.

Miaya Peacock / Junior / Outside Hitter

Peacock ranks 37th in the nation and 4th in the AMC with 3.6 kills per set.  She also leads the team with 212 points.

Kennedy Netters / Junior / Setter

Netters has a team high 541 sets and had a conference single game high of 60 in a victory against St. Louis College of Pharmacy. 

 

Key Spartans:

Kristina Medanovic / Junior / Middle Blocker

Medeanovic leads the Spartans with 3.13 kills per set and has 953 in her career at Missouri Baptist.

Natalie Gremaud / Senior / Setter

Gremaud has a team high 388 digs.  She had a career high of 27 earlier in the season.

Megan Huffman / Freshman / Setter

Huffman leads the nation with 11.4 assists per game.  She has also helped with 17 blocks to go along with her 912 assists. 

 

Game Notes:

  • Game time is set for 7pm in the Emerson Performance Center
  • Hornets will play their final 8 games at home in the EPC
  • Hornets are 2-2 at home this fall
