Men's Soccer - Thu, Sep. 29, 2016

The Harris-Stowe Men's Soccer team played the Missouri Baptist University Spartans today and fell 1-0.  The loss takes the Hornets down to 1-7 on the season and 1-3 in the American Midwest Conference.  The Spartans improve to 4-3-3 and 1-2 in the AMC.

The game was a defensive battle that was physical from both sides.  The first half started off with both teams having a great scoring opportunity as freshman Adin Mulasalihovic missed a shot wide just 40 feet from the goal, three minutes into the first half.  The Spartans then took the ball down the field to score the games only goal to make the score 1-0.  The score stuck as the Hornets battled the whole game but didn't get a good shot again until late in the second half when Jordy Elera missed a shot high.  The game was a battle until the final whistle but the Spartans held on to win 1-0.
