Today the Hornets bats struggled in a sweep of the William Woods Owls over the Harris-Stowe Hornets.  After today the Hornets are now 1-19 on the season and 0-18 in American Midwest Conference Play. 

In game 1 the Hornets committed 3 errors and Nakeyah Bradford came in relief to give up only 3 runs in 4 innings of work.  They fell by the score of 8-0.  Cassidy Williams picked up the lone hit of the game. 

Game 2 the Hornets were able to pick up 3 hits but were not able to scratch a run across the plate.  Bradford picked up 2 hits and Jalessa Ginger got the other.  Bradford pitched the whole game but walked 7. 

Game Notes:

  • Next game is Saturday at Park University.  12pm start. 8700 NW River Park Drive Parkville, MO
  • The Hornets have not scored a run in 10 games
  • Harris-Stowe's last home game will be Monday against Freed-Hardeman
