BELLEVILLE, IL- The Hornet women's soccer team came out of today's match with one point as they tied with the Lady Lynx of Lindenwood University-Belleville 1-1 in 2OT.

LUB's Maddi Beck netted the first goal of the game on a corner kick in the 26' to give Lindenwood-Belleville a 1-0 lead.

Harris-Stowe came storming back in the second half, tying the game at 1-1 when Torrie Helms (JR/Sikeston, MO) found the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 54th minute.

The Hornets had the opportunity to take the lead when Johanna Wallstab (SO/Munich, Germany ) took a stab at another penalty kick but was denied by the Lady Lynx goalkeeper.

LUB and HSSU played the remainder of the game dead even and came out with a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes of play.

Camila Chaves (SO/Medellin, Colombia) got the start in goal today and recorded 3 saves. Her season total is now at 23.

Harris-Stowe (7-2-2; 3-2-1 AMC) will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Batesville, AR to take on the Scots of Lyon College. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
