COLUMBIA, MO- The Hornets put up a good fight against the 3rd ranked Cougars of Columbia College. CC ended up taking the match 25-7, 25-13, 25-13.

Niya Jenkins (SO/Chicago, IL) led the team with three kills while Akliah Thomas and Tiffany Hopkins (JR/Chicago, Illinois) both chipped in two apiece. Kayla Snipes (FR/Saint Louis, MO) and Whitney McDaniel (SR/East St. Louis, Illinois ) recorded one kill each.

Jhameka Lambert-Gully (JR/Belleville, Illinois) had a team high 13 digs while Junoria Worthy (FR/Peoria, IL) dished out a team high six assists.

Harris-Stowe (1-9; 0-7) will be back in action on Thursday when they travel back to Columbia, MO to take on the Stars of Stephens College. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
