SAINT LOUIS, MO- The Hornets came out with a bang today, taking the match with an 11-0 win.

Rosara Hernandez got things started in the first half when she fired a shot at Saint Louis College of Pharmacy goalkeeper, Kaylee Lewis, and watched it bounce off the post and into the net for the Hornets first goal of the game.

Torrie Helms (JR/Sikeston, MO) continued the trend when she scored two of her game-high three goals just 90 seconds apart. Lizette Popoca (SO/Waukegan, Illinois ) rounded out the scoring in the first half when Alyssa Endsley (SO/Fairview Heights, Illinois ) found her open in the box. Harris-Stowe would take a 4-0 lead going into the half.

Scoring opportunities increased in the second half of play; Paula Ulreich (JR/Munich, Germany ), Lyla Rudloff (SO/O'Fallon, Missouri), Yuliaba Noyola Miranda, Helms, and Popoca all found the back of the net to give HSSU their 11-0 win.

Camila Chaves (SO/Medellin, Colombia) and Jenna Vitale (SR/St. Louis, Missouri) split time in goal today, each coming up with a blank scoresheet.

Harris-Stowe (6-2-1; 3-2 AMC) will be back in action on Monday when they host Presentation College. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
