SAINT LOUIS, MO- Wanting to push their conference record to 3-1, the Hornets came ready to take on the Spartans of Missouri Baptist. An early lead for HSSU could not fend off MBU as they went on to drop the game 2-1.

After playing even for the first 90 minutes, Harris-Stowe and Missouri Baptist found themselves scoreless at the half.

Paula Ulreich (JR/Munich, Germany ) made noise when she scored got a pass from Lizette Popoca (SO/Waukegan, Illinois ) deep in the box and scored just 41 seconds into the second half. Johanna Wallstab (SO/Munich, Germany ) also got credited with an assist as she started the sequence for the Hornets only goal of the game.

Missouri Baptist came storming in with back-to-back goals from Riley Janvrin and Casey Gutting to give the Spartans the 2-1 win.

Camila Chaves (SO/Medellin, Colombia) got the start in goal today and recorded four saves. She adds those four to her season total to give her 19.

Harris-Stowe (5-2-1; 2-2 AMC) will be back in action this Saturday when they host the Eutectics of Saint Louis College of Pharmacy for their Lace Up 4 Cancer game. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
