SAINT LOUIS, MO- After a tie with AMC rival, Park University, the Hornets looked to carry that momentum into today's competition against Williams Baptist. However, the offense of the Eagles was too much for HSSU to handle as they dropped the match 3-0.

Matheus Batista got things rolling for the Eagles early in the first half when he ripped a shot from the top of the box to give WBU a 1-0 lead. Raul Abellan Sanz followed suit in the 30' when he found himself on a breakaway to make it 2-0 while Gabriel Xavier netted the lone goal in the second half.

Harris-Stowe, as a team, fired off eight shots with two of them being on-goal.

Goalkeeper John Jancewicz (SO/London, England) recorded four saves on seven attempts and added to his season total of 40 saves. He currently leads the American Midwest Conference in total saves and saves/game with 7.2.

Harris-Stowe (0-5-1; 0-2-1 AMC) will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel across town to take on the Spartans of Missouri Baptist University. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
