WILMORE, KY- Looking to bounce back from the 7-1 loss to (RV) Campbellsville on Tuesday, the Hornets faced the Eagles of Asbury University. The Eagles came out with the 4-1 win and handed HSSU their second loss of the season.

After taking a 2-0 lead going into the half, Felipe Campos (SO/Niteroi, Brazil) connected with Sanchayn Lawrence (JR/Kingston, Jamaica ) in the 60' for Harris-Stowe's only goal of the game.

Despite getting within one of Asbury, the Eagle's Sammy Abraham came off the bench to record two second half goals to secure the win.

Harris-Stowe (0-2) fired off 15 shots against the Eagles defense with four of them being on-goal.

John Jancewicz (SO/London, England) got the start in goal tonight going 79 minutes and saving six shots. Sanjin Alunovic (SO/Bijeljina, Bosnia) got his first minutes of the season tonight, finishing the last 11 minutes of the game in goal for the Hornets.

HSSU will play one more game on the road before playing in their first home game of the season. The Hornets will be at Webster University next Thursday, September 6, for a 7 p.m. kick-off time.
